On Friday, July 26, Celine and her husband René received their awards in the Order of Canada during a ceremony at the Residence of the Governor General at the Citadelle of Quebec in Quebec City. His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will present the insignia of Companion of the Order of Canada to Céline and the insignia of Member of the Order of Canada to René. received their awards with these insignias in recognition of their strong values shared by Canadians and promoted throughout the world.
