Renée Claude celebrates this year her 60 years of career and her 80 years. The news about her condition was made public last month by his partner Robert Langevin .
Nicolas Lemieux, president of the Montreal record company GSI Musique, and author and host Monique Giroux had the idea to pay tribute to the famous singer by inviting popular voices to record a new version of the song "Tu trouveras la pai"( "You Will Find Peace") , written by Stéphane Venne in 1971 and sung by Renée Claude.
Isabelle Boulay, Celine Dion, Luce Dufault, Diane Dufresne, Louise Forestier, Laurence Jalbert, Catherine Major, Ariane Moffatt, Marie Denise Pelletier and Marie-Elaine Thibert are part of the project. Pianist Julie Lamontagne, a string section and a choir of 40 girls from Les Voix Boréales, are also involved in the initiative.
