Toni Braxton wasn’t originally supposed to sing “Un-Break My Heart,” because it was intended for Celine Dion, but then they traded songs.
She told “Entertainment Tonight,””I had ‘Because You Loved Me’. I heard the song, [and] loved it. My record company said, ‘It’s not really time to put out a song yet between your album.’
“Celine had ‘Un-Break My Heart’ and I don’t know what the situation was, but I know I got it. We kind of switched off there.”
Both songs were written by Diane Warren and produced by David Foster. Diane once said, “Toni hated [‘Un-Break My Heart’]. She didn’t want to do it.”
