Celine Dion has maintained a torrid pace in the 1990s, having released an album each and every year so far this decade. But in 1996 she deviated from this pattern to release not one but two albums in the space of 7 months. 'Live à Paris' was the second album to be released that year, following the footsteps of 'Falling Into You' which debuted in March.
'Live à Paris' was recorded at the renowned Zenith Theatre in Paris in October 1995 before an audience of over 6000 devoted fans. The album contains songs from the highly successful French language album, 'D'eux.' In fact, 'D'eux' is the most successful French album by an artist in the history of recorded music. And 'Live à Paris' captures the songs from this popular creative work in a live performance. Featuring such French tracks as "Vole," "Destin," "Un garçon pas comme les autres (Ziggy)" and "Quand on n'a que l'amour" - a song that was recently dedicated to the Saguenay (Quebec) flood victims. The album also includes "River Deep Mountain High," "The Power Of Love," and the Japanese smash hit "To Love You More."
Complementing the superior recordings is very exquisite packaging that will excite any fan. Photographs of Celine on stage are scattered throughout the album graphics and help to recreate the images of being at the concert. Also included in the packaging are the lyrics for each of the songs.
This album was also released as a video (Canadian Catalogue Number: 14V80251) that provided a great overview of the whole show - beginning from Celine getting ready backstage to greet her fans to the spectacular encore, in all over 90 minutes length.
'Live à Paris' is available in the following countries: Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Greece, Portugal, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Mexico, Japan, and Australia.
The album is a wonderful chance to hear and see Celine doing what she loves to do - performing for her fans. Whether you have seen Celine in concert before or have never watched her work her magic in person, 'Live à Paris' has captured Celine Dion live and brings it to your home.
