Celine Dion will be at the X-factor USA lauching on september 11th to promote "Loved Me Back To Live"

Last Saturday, Celine amazed the public on the Plains of Abraham in Quebec with her unique one-night only concert. Quebec fans now get ready to be amazed from your own home! As of August 10, Celine’s exceptional concert will be available for Videotron customers on illico TV (channel 900), illico.tv, illico mobile and Indigo. As of August 1, customers will also have access to bonus content on illico.tv and illico mobile. We’ll announce broadcast dates for other countries as soon as they’re confirmed.

‘Celine…une seule fois’
If you weren’t able to attend the show, don’t worry, ‘Celine…une seule fois’ will be available on Quebec’s Videotron pay TV and pay-per-view (PPV) as of August 10. Plans are also underway for television broadcast in the rest of Canada, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Asia and Latin America.
Celine on “Loved Me Back to Life”
Fans who were at Celine’s show on the Plaines of Abraham in Quebec City on Saturday night enjoyed a special treat. Celine performed “Loved Me Back to Life” live in concert for the very first time! Co-written by Hasham Hussein, Denarius Motes and Sia Furler the song will appear on Celine’s upcoming English album of the same name, to be released in November. “I love this song and it was a real thrill to perform it for the first time this past weekend. I’m so very grateful to Sham, Motesart and Sia for giving me this wonderful gift”, said Celine.

Quebec TV station Musimax is celebrating Celine’s show in Quebec City with a special Celine Dion weekend! It starts this afternoon at 5 pm (ET) with ‘Céline Dion: loyauté et fraternité en tournée’, a documentary about Celine’s Taking Chances World Tour. The celebration continues tomorrow at 3 pm (ET) with ‘Les années: Céline Dion’ followed by ‘L’index québecois’ where music experts, critics and journalist explain the Celine phenomenon through the 10 songs that marked her career. At 4:30 pm (ET) watch ‘Sosie de star : Celine Dion’ followed by ‘Cliptographie’ which shows the evolution of Celine’s career through her videos. If you’re not at Celine’s concert on the Plains of Abraham Today, you can still have a Celine weekend!

Celine and Rene are invested into the Order of Canada
His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will present the insignia of Member of the Order of Canada to René Angélil and the insignia of Companion of the Order of Canada to Céline Dion, during a ceremony at the Residence of the Governor General at the Citadelle of Québec, on Friday, July 26, 2013, at 5 p.m.

her violonist, on backstage at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, in Las
Vegas, Nevada.

LAS VEGAS — The reigning queen and king of the Strip, Celine Dion
and Elton John, reinvented Las Vegas entertainment as a marquee
destination for superstars rather than a dumping ground for has-beens.
The
Colosseum at Caesars Palace, home of their respective productions,
turned a decade old in March, and the venue remains the chief draw in
Las Vegas, with a lineup that now includes hit list veterans Rod Stewart
and Shania Twain.
Prior to the arrival of the classic rock stud
and the pop-country darling, a double dose of divadom in the blissfully
flamboyant forms of Cher and Bette Midler shared Colosseum space as
well, solidifying the venue’s stature among acts with intense drawing
power.
“We touched a nerve of what Vegas once was, but in a modern
fashion,” said Jason Gastwirth, senior vice president of marketing and
entertainment at Caesars Entertainment Corp. “When the Colosseum
rolled out, it changed the paradigm of headliners coming to Vegas at
the height of their careers.”
When Celine Dion opened the $95 million
venue in March 2003 with her “A New Day” production, it was a gamble,
so to speak. Even with her international fan base, would enough
tourists pour into the 4,300-capacity venue several nights a week
during her four-year residency to justify her reported $100 million
paycheck?

On July 19, 1996, Celine inspired millions around the world when she performed "The Power Of The Dream"
at the opening ceremonies for the XXVI Summer Olympics in Atlanta, USA.
Former American President Bill Clinton had insisted that Celine be the
one to perform this very special song. Celine's captivating performance

Congratulations To the Happy Royal Parents William and Kate
The royal baby is born! It's a boy! Congratulations to the happy parents!

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 4.24pm.
The baby weighs 8lbs 6oz.
The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.
The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news.
Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well and will remain in hospital overnight.

On This Day
On July 21, 2009 Celine Dion took part in the Maman Dion
Foundation's 4th Annual Golf Tournement, held at the golf club Le Mirage
in Terrebonne, Quebec. 775,000$ were raised for the Foundation, much
above the initial goal of 600,000$. The money helped 2,000 desavantaged
children to get everything they need to start school again on the year.
The event chaired by Thérèse Tanguay Dion was placed under the joint
presidency of honor of producing and stimulating Julie Snyder and Pierre
Karl Péladeau, president and chief of the direction of Quebecor. Celine
was photographed with Eric Salvail, organizer of the evening, Julie
Snyder, Pierre Karl Péladeau, Therese Tanguay Dion, Rene Angélil, Paul
Dion and Marie-Berthe Of Groseillers.
Did You Know That ?
Did you know that Celine’s song “If You Asked Me To” has a James Bond
connection? The song, originally recorded by Patti Labelle, was
featured on the soundtrack of the James Bond movie License to Kill in 1989. A few years later, Celine recorded the song for her 1992 album ‘Celine Dion’ and released it as the second single. Written by Diane Warren, “If You Asked Me To”
became a big hit for Celine. It reached the number one position on the
US Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart and on the Contemporary Hit Radio
chart in Canada!
