Celine Dion says she is open to the idea of collaborating with Arcade Fire. Remember that the two appeared on the same stage, but not at the same time, at that benefit concert last fall at Metropolis for the family of Denis Blanchette, the lighting technician who was shot and killed at the Parti Quebecois victory celebration.
Now it looks possible that Quebec's two hottest musical exports might actually team-up - and how weird would that be? Or maybe it makes perfect sense.Speaking to La Presse journalist Alain de Repentigny, Dion said she is up for recording tracks with The Beatles of Mile End.
"It would've been fun to do something together," she said. "I was very sick (when they were together at Metropolis) but I'd like to take the time to live things, to say why don't we meet up tomorrow, we can try to create something together, that would be fun. I still haven't had fun."
I'm just trying to imagine a cross-pollination of "Loved Me Back to Life" and Reflektor. Actually both are going in a hip dance direction - Dion's dubstep meets Arcade's Talking Headsy world dance. Hey it's a natural!
