A sold-out crowd packed Plenitude Arena to witness the legendary singer’s long-awaited return to live performance
Saturday night, global music icon Celine Dion made her highly anticipated and triumphant return to the stage for the first time in six years, opening her CELINE DION PARIS 2026-2027 limited engagement at Plenitude Arena. In a breathtaking celebration of her extraordinary career, Celine commanded the stage in front of a sold-out crowd of 35,000 fans with the singular voice that has made her one of the most celebrated artists in music history.
Designed by acclaimed Creative Director Willo Perron, with design direction by Perron Studios, the production draws on Céline’s inherent theatricality, framing that presence through the scale and drama of opera. The scenography is restrained yet monumental, built around monolithic structures that open, close and transform throughout the performance – a visual metaphor for the chapters of her career and the full-circle moment of her return to the stage in Paris. Across four distinct acts, the production moves seamlessly through Celine’s iconic French and English catalogues, bringing together songs that have defined generations. The show opens with the beloved French-language classic “On ne change pas,” which topped the Quebec charts, immediately drawing the audience into a deeply personal celebration of her extraordinary French-language repertoire. From there, Celine moved through a run of global hits, including “Because You Loved Me,” “Dans un autre monde,” “Courage,” the title track from her chart-topping 2019 album which debuted at No. 1, “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now,”and one of her most recent 2026 releases, “Dansons.”Celine brought the audience to their feet with a breathtaking operatic performance of “La Wally,” her voice soaring effortlessly through the room, before closing the show with a triumphant, unforgettable encore featuring some of the biggest hits from her French catalogue.
Opening up to the crowd during the performance, Celine Dion said of her return: “Finally, it’s amazing we are all together. I made a promise to come back and to be back on stage. So here I am, singing for you, singing for me, singing life.”
Throughout the four acts, breathtaking video imagery shot and directed by renowned French creative Thibaut Grevet unfolded across massive LED screens flanking the stage, enveloping the audience in a visually stunning world that heightened the storytelling of the performance. Adding another layer of artistry to the production, Creative Advisor Annie Horth collaborated with leading French fashion houses to create a series of extraordinary, custom-designed stage looks for Celine, bringing an unmistakable sense of Parisian artistry, couture and elegance to the show.
The evening was anchored by Celine’s unmistakable voice and the extraordinary musicianship of her band, led by her renowned and longtime Musical Director Scott Price, whose collaboration with Celine has helped shape the sound and spirit of her live performances for the past 15 years. Together, the musicians delivered a powerful concert experience that celebrated the songs that have defined Celine’s remarkable career and resonated with audiences around the world for generations.
