Celine Dion Opens Up To Ellen About Death Of Husband Rene: ‘I Am Well Because He’s Not Suffering Anymore’
Celine Dion’s healing process is well under way, as she has started opening up about the heartbreaking death of her husband Rene Angelil.

The Canadian sensation dropped by “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” to share her outlook moving forward: “It is tough I have to admit… That was his destiny and I still feel extremely fortunate that he has given me three magnificent children.”
Her husband Rene passed away after a battle with cancer — and although Dion misses him greatly, she says watching him suffer was unbearable: “As an artist to feel confident and to have experience enough and to keep going. And I‘m well because he’s not suffering anymore. Because the hardest thing is not to lose somebody you love but to see them suffer.”

The 48-year-old “Recovering” singer’s time with DeGeneres wasn’t all serious, as she busted out her beautiful pipes to cover some of rap’s biggest hits.
