Celine Dion "HOW DOES A MOMENT LAST FOREVER"/"BEAUTY AND THE BEAST" Original Motion Picture Soundtrack 2017 2CD/

This is such a delicacy before the official premiere of the song
Thank You for this amazing gift Ziggy
Just recorded from premiere in China today
“Being a part of the original "Beauty and the Beast" was such a magical experience in my life, and I'm truly honored to be a part of this film again.” Celine Dion

"BEAUTY AND THE BEAST"  Original Motion Picture Soundtrack 2017

[Verse 1]
How does a moment last forever?
How can a story never die?
It is love we must hold onto
Never easy, but we try
Sometimes our happiness is captured
Somehow, our time and place stand still
Love lives on inside our hearts and always will

Minutes turn to hours, days to years and gone
But when all else has been forgotten
Still our song lives on

[Verse 2]
Maybe some moments weren’t so perfect
Maybe some memories not so sweet
But we have to know some bad times
Or are lives are incomplete
Then when the shadows overtake us
Just when we feel all hope is gone
We’ll hear our song and know once more
Our love lives on

[Verse 3]
How does a moment last forever?
How does our happiness endure?
Through the darkest of our troubles
Love is beauty, love is pure
Love pays no mind to desolation
It flows like a river through the soul
Protects, proceeds and perseveres
And makes us whole

Minutes turn to hours, days to years and gone
But when all else has been forgotten
Still our song lives on
That's how a moment lasts forever:
When our song lives on

Celine Dion Dishes On New ‘Beauty And The Beast’ Song And Juno Nomination

Celine Dion is back in the spotlight in a big way with a new fashion line, becoming an advisor on “The Voice” and debuting a new single for Disney’s live-action “Beauty And The Beast”.
A quarter of a century after her duet in the original animated film, the Quebec-born songstress reveals she initially had reservations about signing on for the new film, due in theatres in mid-March 2017.

“It’s been, I don’t want to say 20, is it 18 years ago? 28 years ago? Oh my God, I don’t want to say that! Take two!!,” Celine jokes at a press conference in Las Vegas at the launch of her new collection of handbags, luggage and accessories.

While her original “Beauty And The Beast” duet with Peabo Bryson was a huge success, she almost turned down the new BATB single, saying “I see the movie, and it’s great, but there’s something inside of me that’s shaking a little bit. To be honest with you, I said to them that it’s so hard for me to commit right now because I felt like I was cheating with the first ‘Beauty And The Beast’.”
Dion says she returned to the 1991 classic tune – which earned her a Grammy – and asked her late husband Rene Angelil for advice. “I went back home and listened to it, I wasn’t sure,” she explains. “I kind of talked to Rene,” she says, gesturing to the sky, “And he said ‘You should.'”

Last month, Disney revealed Dion would perform an entirely new song for the live-action “Beauty And The Beast” movie starring Emma Watson, Dan Stevens and Luke Evans.

She’ll will sing an original song called “How Does A Moment Last Forever”, which is said to be an emotional ballad about holding onto life’s precious moments and one of the film’s three new original songs. In addition to her new fashion collection and role joining Gwen Stefani’s team as an advisor on this season of “The Voice”, Dion has also been approached with another role – hockey coach. In true Canadian fashion, Dion reveals her son asked her to coach his hockey team. “My son plays hockey and he wants me to be the coach,” she says, before joking, “I’d rather be on the couch.”

Amid her busy new schedule, Celine will make it back to Canada for this year’s Juno Awards, in Ottawa on April 2,2017 where she’s nominated for Album Of The Year for her French-language album, “Encore En Soir”.

“Well first of all, I’m extremely touched because obviously I don’t do this business to win awards, but this one means a lot to me because it’s the first one I recorded without my husband, so thank you so much for the nomination,” she says about the nomination, tearing up. “It’s well appreciated. Thank you.”

In addition to reaching her fans through her music, Dion is also expanding into fashion, singing through the press conference to launch the handbag line. “I was very proud to come today with my own purse!” say belted out, adding, “I was given the opportunity to expand my relationship with my fans, not just through songs but through fashion.”

Celine Dion talks Fashion Collection, Shopping, New English Album, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and Caesars Residency

Superstar singer Celine Dion is in preliminary talks about extending her run of Las Vegas shows after her current contract expires at the end of 2019, I can exclusively reveal. Celine has been performing as a headliner since 2003 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, but rival casino theater offers to continue her Las Vegas residency have been sent to her management team.

As she weighs the possibilities of remaining in Las Vegas through 2021, we will keep track of this developing story. “There are lots of variable possibilities,” I was candidly told. “We have a number of options, and all will be looked at slowly. We think of Las Vegas as our second home, so we may all be here with walkers by the time it’s all said and done.”

Celine, who returns to Caesars on April 4, has a busy schedule over the next few weeks: On March 2, she has agreed to attend the red carpet premiere in Hollywood for “Beauty and the Beast” starring Emma Watson. It was more than 25 years ago that she sang the title track in a duet with Peabo Bryson, and she will now sing “How Does a Moment Last Forever?”

While launching The Celine Dion Collection of handbags, clutches, luggage and accessories, including wrist cuffs, at the Project Women exhibits at MAGIC at Mandalay Bay on Tuesday, she confirmed that her late husband and manager, Rene Angelil, had persuaded her to sing it for the new live-action film.

Celine admitted that she was shaking after seeing the new film: “It was hard for me to commit because I felt as if I was cheating on the original. I’m still in love with that first movie, and the song is in our show every night at Caesars.” She revealed talking to Rene’s spirit about the decision and felt that she had his blessing to go ahead.

Rene died here more than a year ago after a long battle with throat cancer. Celine wore a stunning white Elsa Schiaparelli couture outfit of hearts with golden arrows emblazed through a large heart over her chest, but it was her sky-high red heart suede boots that caused a stir with the admiring crowd. “I love these boots,” she confessed to me.

Our thanks to Denise Truscello and Janine Noble for our photo gallery. The 200-plus items in The Celine Dion Collection will officially go on sale around the world this fall, but her website, CelineDion.com, will feature three special selections next month. We’ll have a full report next week. And Celine starts her run on NBC’s “The Voice” with Gwen Stefani in March.

A Team Celine member told me: “She was so diligent with her mentoring. She even went to the orchestra to discuss the right sound of the notes for the contestants. In every way possible, she tried to help her would-be star singing teams. Nobody at the TV studio had ever seen somebody so diligent like that before.”

On April 16, Celine will appear in a Bee Gees TV special and is Donatella Versace’s guest at The Met Gala in New York on May 1. Meantime, she also is busy at work on her next English-language album now expected in the first quarter of 2018. I’ve learned that she has settled on the first three tracks.

Celine sold 400,000 tickets in one day for her European tour, which begins June 15 in Denmark and includes shows added to dates in London and Manchester in England. I was told that she will perform two shows, one in English and the other in French, when she changes over June 29 to the French leg with shows in Bordeaux, Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Nice and Switzerland.

The tour ends August 3,2017. in Birmingham, England, before Celine returns here. “All of these are new projects,” Celine told me. “Rene and I didn’t plan the handbag collection. That was new, but he would be proud of what we have done. I feel stronger taking on all this new work since his death. He and I were always 50-50 in our life together.

“When he left us, he gave the rest of the 50 percent to me and the children so that we would be strong. I’ve also got more confidence because I now stand up for myself. Before, he said what we do, when we do this television show or not or go on tour. He was on top of it all. Now, though, I take more time, I pause to think about it.

“I didn’t have any questions before, but now I ask, then I get back later with my answer. I believe I can still do this, and he will always be with me. I’ve become the leader of our family.” Celine was in fine, fun form when we chatted — even singing to me. “The first thing I said when I came out of my mother’s stomach, I started to sing,” she laughed with me.

“I thought they’d ask me to sing today, but they didn’t, which is why I broke into song for you. I talk so much; I don’t even let people have the time to ask questions. I say what I need to say. I’d like to tell you, though, why I did these fashion accessories when there’s a lot of purses in the world. Why would I put my name on purses and handbags and carry-ons when I don’t need to?

“I love fashion a lot, obviously. I’m a woman on top of it, but it’s hard for me to go window shopping. That’s bad, it ain’t happening with me, there’s no window shopping. But I have such a wonderful relationship with my fans, even more than ever. People had so much compassion since Rene passed. I’ve always been accessible like an open book.

“But more than ever before, it’s become all about social media, far more than recording a record and you hope that it’s going to be played on the radio. I thank God that I have Las Vegas to sing my songs because maybe I would not be played on the radio. Social media, Facebook and all that, I don’t do it personally, but my son does and my team does.

“I understood when you sing, you have to be accessible, and people want more. How can I give them more? I’m a mother, as well. It’s impossible to be everywhere all the time. How could we find a way? So we have started with a lifestyle, my lifestyle being available to fans. I don’t have to change anything with my life or my styles.

“Instead of just having merchandising and selling T-shirts and programs, I could have leather goods, accessories, luggage, then we can build this if we want to into jewelry, clothing for kids, all that. I’d better stop right there! Today I want to enjoy and see how it goes. I’m a dreamer, but I’m becoming more of a believer. I said yes because I’m an accessible artist.

“I want my products to be affordable. We’re not selling $2,000 purses. I’m excited that my collection is affordable. For the people who cannot afford what they deserve, that would be my phrase. I want them to have what I can have. People work hard, so I tried to find styles that look expensive but people can buy for $80 or $120. I’m very proud of what we achieved.”

Then Celine made a startling confession: “I’ve never had the regular thing of being ordinary and going window shopping. It’s not me to want to go into a store that’s closed and opens just for me even though I love shopping too much. I’ve never been able to go shopping. Even when I was 11, I was at the kitchen table singing for my brothers and sisters.

“One time in Japan, I was shopping, and we thought it was going to be OK, but I was being followed. I turned around, they had to put up a red cable between me and the crowd. I had to run because there was a little panic going on. People started to accumulate, and I started to run on the sidewalk. I had to push through a doorway window to get into the car.

“There was about 300 to 400 people shaking the car. I’d been recognized, and I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ I thought The Beatles were still alive. I’m not saying this pretentiously, but I never thought something like this could happen to me. I understood that if I want to do something normal, I have to organize my freedom. My team gives me some distance.”

We joked about looking into a crystal ball in Las Vegas — after 2019 with a new, extended contract. “I hope to still be here and that my strength and health are good. I hope that I still have the drive I have now. I hope my 16-year-old, Rene-Charles, who I love so much finds his way for his near future.

“He’s going to have to make big decisions about which college to go to, driving a car and all that. I wish that we all stay healthy and that the world calms down a little bit. I wish all of us peace and love and honor.” Next week, Celine will walk us through her collection and reveal what she packs inside her own purse and luggage.

«As a woman who loves fashion, I am very excited to start my own collection. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I am.» – Céline

How Céline Dion & Sons Are Coping One Year After René Angélil's Death

Céline Dion is expanding her empire and opening up about life a year after her husband René Angélil passed away after a long battle with cancer.

Dion told “Extra’s” Renee Bargh she is coping thanks to René himself. “I still have my power; my husband gave me so [many] tools for the rest of my life,” she said.

“What makes me most proud is to be a mother,” Dion went on to say. "I have three magnificent kids, that through them, I see my husband and I have the strength today to keep dressing up."

Breaking into song, Céline said, “Still want to sing, still want to go, and still want to make it — today’s the day to do it.”

As for how her children, René-Charles, Eddy and Nelson are doing, she shared, “To be honest, they’re remarkable. They are helping me, I am helping them — it’s mutual."

Dion said she is proud of her kids, not only for how they dealt with René’s illness for many years, but also for how they have handled his passing. "They cope with the loss of their dad very well,” she said, especially praising 16-year-old René-Charles. “I said to him, 'I never want you to feel the pressure of being the man of the house, you have your own dreams and he is always with you in your heart and I am here for you.'”

Céline also dished on Gwen Stefani and mentoring her team on “The Voice” this season. Gwen recently told “Extra" Céline was "inspiring and positive,” and Céline had the same sentiments about Gwen, gushing, “I love her! I love her style. I went to Montana during the holidays with my kids. I bought a suit from her collection and I didn’t know it was hers, and on the lift people were saying, 'Ma’am, ma’am, we love your outfit.' I told her that and she was like, ‘No way.'”

Dion, who is launching the Céline Dion Collection of handbags, luggage and accessories with the Bugatti Group, admitted she was “overwhelmed” at first. She explained, “My fans have access to me. I want the leather goods and the luggage to be affordable. To me, those two words come together: accessible and affordable.”

She emphasized, “To share with my fans and give them the opportunity to buy something they might like — I hope, because I did so many things — that they can afford.”

Dion made a point to tell René the goods are made here in America, commenting, “It’s not children making it; that’s important because I am a mother.”

EXCLUSIVE: Celine Dion For ET ! February 21,2017

EXCLUSIVE: Celine Dion on Life After Rene Angelil's Death: 'I Am the Leader of My Family'
Celine Dion says she feels "stronger" as she takes on new projects following husband Rene Angelil's death.
ET's Cameron Mathison caught up with the 48-year-old singer in Las Vegas on Tuesday as she promoted the launch of "The Celine Dion Collection" of handbags, luggage and accessories with the Bugatti Group, where she opened up about how creating the collection helped her through a difficult year, and how Angelil will always be with her.

"[The collection is] not something we had talked about, but I'm pretty sure he would be very proud because my husband is… we've always been 50/50 together in everything that I've done in my life," Dion explained of the new line, which was unveiled at PROJECT WOMEN in Las Vegas on Tuesday, and will be available at select retailers across the globe in September.

"When he left, he came inside of all of my kids' hearts and mine, he gave the rest of his 50 percent for me to be complete, to continue the rest of my life, to feel strong and to believe that I can still do this and he will always be with me," she continued, tearing up.

Angelil died last January after a long battle with throat cancer, and while Dion says the year following his death was definitely "tough," she now feels "stronger" than ever.

"I feel stronger," the "Power of Love" singer revealed. "He gave me the rest of him. I feel stronger, I step forward. I say what I mean, I mean what I say. I stand up for my kids and I feel like I'm the leader of the family."

"My oldest, 16, is not the man of the house [because] you have to have your own dreams. And the twins, they didn't suffer because I told them the truth," she said.
Taking on more responsibility has interestingly given Dion more confidence in expressing herself.

"Now I have to stand up for myself and say, 'I'm not sure. I need time,'" she confessed, "and I take more time, because before, I didn't even have any questions."

"He said,' We do this. We go on tour. This is what we do. This TV show, not this one.' He was on top of it… he was my husband and my manager," she explained. "Today it's like, 'Let me pause on that, and I'll come back to you.'"

Celine Dion says it's a "privilege" to sing a new song for Disney's upcoming live-action Beauty and the Beast.

Nearly 30 years after the movie's 1991 release -- and Dion's iconic duet with Peabo Bryson -- the singer opened up to ET's Cameron Mathison about falling "in love" with the animated film, and how her late husband, Rene Angelil, convinced her to sing a new song -- titled "How Does a Moment Last Forever" -- for the new movie.

"30 year later, they [came] back to me," Dion told ET while promoting "The Celine Dion Collection" of handbags, luggage and accessories with the Bugatti Group, which was unveiled at PROJECT WOMEN in Las Vegas on Tuesday, and will be available at select retailers across the globe in September.
EXCLUSIVE: Celine Dion Opens Up About Singing New Song for 'Beauty and the Beast' 26 Years After the Original
"I saw the [new] movie, it's great, but there was something inside of me that was shaking little bit," she recalled. "They say, 'So what do you think? Would you consider singing this new 'Beauty and the Beast' song, 30 years later?' and I'm like, 'Uh, I have to listen to it again, because I need to be professional.'"

"To be honest with you, I said to them, 'That is so hard for me to commit [to] right now, because I felt like [I was] cheating [on] the first Beauty and the Beast," she continued, describing how "in love" she was with the first movie.

After much deliberation, however, Dion says it was speaking to the spirit of Angelil, who died last January after a long battle with throat cancer, that convinced her to go for it.

"I understood it was an amazing privilege again," she shared. "Beauty and the Beast had brought me to where I am today. I went back home, I listened to it… I kind of talked to Rene, and he said, 'You should.'"

As for how Dion feels about Ariana Grande and John Legend's rendition of "Beauty and the Beast" for the new movie? She couldn't be prouder.

"I can't refuse that," she said. "I'm so proud."
