Celine Dion talks with Oprah about miracle twins
42-year-old Celine Dion, gave birth to twin boys back in October. The
Oprah interview is the first time the singer has had an open forum on
the boys and the days in the hospital after their birth.
Dion tells Oprah that the babies were named "Baby A" and "Baby B" for
about a week at the hospital she delivered, St. Mary's Medical Center
in West Palm Beach, FL.
The baby boys were born healthy, weighing a little better than five
pounds, but they were kept in an incubator for a time. When Dion was 8
months pregnant, she checked into the hospital to prevent their
premature birth.
The Oprah Show today will take viewers to Dion's home, a Florida mansion
dubbed by TMZ as the "ultimate water park." The mansion on Jupiter
Island has a huge pool, lazy river and a water slide. Jupiter Island is
home to some of the wealthiest people in the world.
The Oprah interview with Celine Dion airs just weeks before Celine
returns to Las Vegas. Her return to Vegas is set for March 15. People
reports that Celine Dion's Las Vegas concerts at the Colosseum in
Caesars were consecutively sold out for five years up to 2007.
Dion gave People an interview in December. Oprah's film crew goes into the singer's estate.
Dion and her husband Rene Angelil named their twin sons Eddy and
Nelson. Eddy Marnay produced Dion's first five records. Eddy Marnay is
said to be very influential in the lives and careers of Dion and her
husband.
Nelson is named after Nelson Mandela. Celine Dion met Mandela when
she began her world tour in South Africa. She and her husband were
inspired by Mandela and told People in October that they want their boys
to be inspired by their names.
Dion told French press corps that her mother wanted the boys to have
French names, but Dion and Angelil's oldest son, Rene-Charles, wanted
American names.
