'Titanic' Blu-ray: Celine Dion Talks the Power of 'My Heart Will Go On'

If you were anywhere between nine and 117 years old when Titanic came out, then chances are you can't hear the song "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion without your tear ducts launching into a fit of fury. It's ranks among some of the most evocative musical numbers of this generation, reminding anyone who has seen James Cameron's boundless classic of the ill-fated love story between Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Rose Kate Winslet.
The Blu-ray release of Titanic (still going strong fifteen years after its original release, as proven by its 3D theatrical re-release earlier in 2012) invites the conversation of how powerful a song Dion's ballad actually was. In a special feature that you can watch below, the singer herself discusses the role "My Heart Will Go On" had in the movie and in the culture borne from the movie.
Cameron also speaks on how much the number contributed to his piece, saying, "The song really had its own life, and hearing them brought those emotions back if you had seen the film."
Check out the video below; Titanic comes out on Blu-ray Monday, Sept. 10.
