Paying it forward. That's what some of our nominees are starting to do, and it's creating some pretty magical experiences! This summer, long-time DIFTL supporter John met a woman named Clarita at a Michael Franti concert in Las Vegas. Clarita is an injured army veteran and her story inspired John to nominate her for a wish grant. While visiting the Las Vegas VA hospital, Clarita met Melinda, who is a paraplegic disabled veteran. Before leaving the hospital, Clarita found a computer and submitted an application for Melinda to see Celine Dion in concert, noting: "Someone nominated me while I was at an appointment at the VA. It made me so happy I didn't want to leave unless I nominated another person. We just met because of you."
We were able to make Melinda's wish happen because of others who paid their wish forward. Let's keep the trend going! Who do you know that could benefit from the healing power of music?
